by car

  • From Amsterdam and below

Continue up the A7 till you reach Den oever
At Den oever, take the exit towards Den Helder.
At the the end of the exit, take a right turn.
Continue with the general directions below..

  • From leeuwarden / groningen and beyond.

Travel to the A7, and cross the "afsluitdijk" immediately beyond the dijk take a right to exit thee highway.
At the end of this exit, take a left and continue underneath the overpass.
Continue with the general directions below..

At the last opportunity go Right
Continue on this road, follow the water and the forest.
After about 4km you the road curves to the right, and back to the left. (to dodge a lake)
After this lake, take the first exit right, onto the campsite, there's a tarmac road.

by public transportation

  • From Amsterdam and beyond

You can take the train to either alkmaar or Hoorn NH.
Take the bus to Den Oever.
Call us when you are in Wieringerwerf (Shell gas station), but stay seated until you reach Den Oever. We will pick you up there.


  • From Leeuwarden / groningen and beyond

You can take the train to Leeuwarden
Take the bus to Den Oever.
Call us when you are halfway the afsluitdijk (Marked by a tower on the dijk), but stay seated until you reach Den Oever. We will pick you up there.

By Bike

It's roughly 30km in all directions to the nearest train station, which, if you are athletic, is a nice bike ride. Don't forget to get a bike pass if you take the train. There are three possibilities:
