This list features a verbose list of all items you can bring to the campsite. Some of these things will be provided centrally by Eth0, so we prefer you do not bring them yourself.

Camping-basics

  • tent(s) (big enough to both sleep and put any hardware in)
    • canvas, pegs, guys/lines
    • groundsheet
    • hammer (for the pegs)
  • sleeping-stuff
    • airbed with pump / bedroll / matress
    • sleeping bag / blankets / duvet
    • pillow
  • clothes stuff
    • clean clothes for one week (pants / t-shirts / underwear / socks / etc.)
    • sweater(s) (for at night, when the temperature drops)
    • extra pair(s) of shoes
    • swimming gear
    • towels (for swimming, showering, etc.)
  • personal healthcare
    • dental hygiene (toothbruch / toothpaste / floss wire / mouthwash / etc )
    • shower stuff (biologically degradable!)
    • deodorants
    • shaving stuff, nail clipper
    • hair styling (comb / gel / etc )
    • contact lenses stuff (storage container / enough fluid / etc )
    • hand mirror (for lenses etc)
    • sunblock stuff / aftersun
    • autan (anti-insect goo)
    • small first-aid kit
    • asperin or paracetamol (pain killers)
    • toilet paper (the toilets have this)
    • medicine (please inform the orga about medicine use, where relevant)
  • Maglite (with enough batteries or rechargable Maglite )
  • lighting for in the tent (tube or LED lights)
  • table(s) + chair(s) (for when you put your hardware inside your tent)
  • garbage bags & barfbags (in case you get sick)
  • small fridge or cool-box
  • sufficient money (also in case of emergencies)
  • ID-papers (passport / ID-card / driver's license)
  • handy
    • sunglasses
    • umbrella
    • battery charger
    • mobile phone (and charger)
    • sticky tape (duct-tape e.d.)
    • earplugs
    • screwdriver set / pocket knife
    • digital camera
    • video camera
    • (table) fan for cooling
    • electric air bed pump
    • bug killers (electric or other)
    • construction canvas (as groundsheet or in case of leakage)
    • party tent / (large) parasol

Computer

    • external audio speaker set (no mega-stereo set, and quiet at nighttime)
    • headphones
    • adapters/chargers (for things like laptops, speaker sets, etc)

  • networking
    • 25 metres (or more) UTP CAT5 (or better) cable for each computer or device you need attached to the network
    • a switch (no hubs!)
    • wireless network adapter (802.11g compatible)

    • blank cd-r(w)'s / dvd+r(w) or dvd-r(w)
    • cd-r marker pen
    • installation cd's/dvd's (Windows,Linux,Mac,etc)
    • cd's/dvd's with apps/games/etc
    • drivers
    • boot floppy/cd
  • others / fun / handy
    • set of screwdrivers
    • switch with gigabit uplink / gigabit switch
    • KVM Switch (for server management)
    • Wlan accespoint (No rogue accesspoints. They disturb the eth-0 wifi)
    • Extra/spare UTP CAT5 (or better) cable(s)
  • Waterproof bag - saves your vital electronics when the entire camp ground turns into a swamp

Power stuff

(everything WITH grounding (rim earthing)! to prevent accidents etc)

  • sufficient power cables for your computers etc.
  • power extension cable (~25 meters is recommended)
  • sufficient sockets for your equipment
  • plastic sheeting to keep the power supply dry (where needed)

Food stuff

  • (plastic) drinking cups
  • (plastic) plates
  • (camping) cutlery
  • cooking stuff
    • frying pan + grease (uses way to much power)
    • gas canister (with good gas tube) / campinggaz
    • matches / lighter for gas cooker
    • pots / pans
    • barbecue (gas is preferred)
    • cooking spoons (for stirring stuff)
    • strainer
    • kitchen roll
  • can and bottle opener
  • fridge and/or cool-box (for keeping food stuffs cool)
  • coffee machine
  • water cooker for tea, soup, etc
  • washing bowl for the dishes / brush / liquid / tea cloth and hand towels
  • drinks for during the event (there are super markets / stores nearby, and a bar on-site)
    • Red Bull / Golden Power
    • Jolt (There is Mate, Jolt hasn't been for sale for years)
    • Coca Cola
    • 7-up
    • Orange drink
    • orange juice
    • apple juice
    • milk
    • coffee
    • (ice) tea
    • Beer

    • mayonnaise

    • garlic sauce (may be regarded offensive :-)
